Have to agree with main chicks. Would be better if someone was around for the unexpected.
I did better though, when I kept them all locked up for a few days, together, when introducing the new ones...after the 6 weeks stuff. Never had any 'chased off'. Had to help get some back in, when they first ventured out. Maybe if I had not helped, they could have gotten lost or taken by predator, if they spent the night out of the coop.
