Knock on wood, my 13 guineas are going into the coop every evening with very little messing around. I use a 6' long white narrow board (apox 1" square) as an arm extension and I go out into the yard where ever they are ranging. I also use my dog training whistle that can be heard a very long way away. Soon the birds are working their way back to the playpen. Tonight a few of them decided to race back and the whole flock took off running. I need to have my video cam along as its so funny seeing their lower wing feathers waddle as they run. They all either fly up to the landing or walk up the plank and at the top I put white millet plus inside in a treat cup. They seem to all get a little bit of it and in 10 minutes they are all perched inside, eyes half closed and doing the quiet chirping of contentment. I hope this continues forever and that the younger birds pick up these good habits. Sure makes it easy for me.
Here are a few pics from this evening. the young birds are not afraid of my hands when I open their pen up so I got some pretty close pics of them.
